Letting all young adults undertake some unpaid work helping people in the community isn't a good idea to build the next generation or society. The drawbacks for both sides are evident and proven in some countries. I agree that having a job is a rewarding way for teenagers to spend their free time and a great way to strengthen local communities. However, I believe it would be more advantageous for teenagers and communities if the job comes with a salary.

First and foremost, laboring for payment is a cornerstone of life for the working class. It will mislead youth that any adult asks them to work unpaid. The big brothers can enjoy more or less without payment. Reversely, the weak class has to sacrifice time and effort to comfort sorts of bosses. It would spread unfair seeds in youths' hearts, so they change the angle to be obverse to society. Some adore power, and some look down on poor people. The community's nature is to raise youth correctly but not get help from youth. Unpaid jobs ...
