Qualifications and skills are the key players that determine the development of all nations. However, there are two opinions about the curriculum of university education. A few comment that it should emphasize academic activities that focus on theory and classroom learning, while others demand to include skills learning that enhance the student's employability. In my view, our higher education policy needs more focus on mixed methodology where candidates can learn by doing.

Firstly, many highly educated candidates in society are unemployed or underemployed. The reason behind this issue is a lack of skills. Recent studies published in business magazines show plenty of opportunities in multinational companies, but there is a skills gap between employees and employers. Skilling is the only solution to bridge the gap between industry and candidates.
